Returning to School for the Spring Semester

Winter break is almost over and it's time to look ahead to the spring semester. Now is the perfect time to organize the fall's course materials and start preparing for the spring. Most of the coursework in your major field is worth keeping, so empty out your binders and file away old papers and assignments where you can easily access them at a later date. Also, clean up your jump drives and hard drives by deleting any unwanted documents and organize files into folders.

Finalize your spring course schedule and go buy your books. Many professors give assignments the first week and some even for the first class, so place your order online or walk down to your bookstore quick. While your at it...pick up notebooks, highlighters, a planner, etc. Get yourself reorganized for a new semester.

Lastly, take an interest in your new courses. Google any interesting facts that arise in your readings or class lectures. Look up any words you don't know along the way to increase your vocabulary. You may find some of your courses boring, so try to find a way to spark your own interest; this will make your assignments and papers much more fun to research and write.
